Xi 'an University of Posts and Telecommunications (Xi 'an? University? Yes? Post? & amp？ Telecommunications) is located in xi, Shaanxi Province, referred to as Xiyou and Xi 'an Posts and Telecommunications. It is a university jointly established by China People's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Shaanxi Provincial Government. It is a "national first-class university" in Shaanxi Province, a provincial-level high-level university in Shaanxi Province, and an "excellent engineer education and training plan" by the Ministry of Education. The innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for universities and national college students and the "New Engineering Research and Practice Project" of the Ministry of Education were selected as members of universities, Chang 'an Alliance and CDIO Engineering Education Alliance. China People's Liberation Army reserve officer selection and training base, the first batch of universities in China to pilot the preparatory classes for the children of border guards, and the only university in northwest China to undertake the training tasks of Asia-Pacific Telecommunication Organization and ASEAN, has developed into a teaching and research university with the characteristics of information science and technology and the coordinated development of engineering, science, management, economics, literature, law and art.
The school's predecessor was 1950, which founded the training courses for post and telecommunications personnel in Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, and later xi 'an Post and Telecommunications School. Xi Institute of Posts and Telecommunications was established on 1959 with the approval of the State Council, and it is the only ordinary university of posts and telecommunications in northwest China. In 2000, it was transferred to Shaanxi Province, and a central and local management system was established, with Shaanxi Province as the main management. On March 20 12, it was renamed as Xi University of Posts and Telecommunications with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
As of April 2023, the school covers an area of 1500 mu, with 14 teaching and research units and 48 undergraduate majors. There are 1 authorized point for doctor's degree in first-class discipline, 13 authorized point for master's degree in first-class discipline and 9 authorized categories for master's degree; There are more than 700 faculty members 1.700 and nearly 20,000 students.
