Shanghai Normal University School of Finance and Business (SHNU) was established in March 1994. 1997 65438+1On October 8th, the College merged with the former Department of Politics and Law and the Department of Marxism-Leninism to form the Law and Politics Business School of Shanghai Normal University. On July 9th, 1998, the State-owned Assets Management Office of Shanghai Municipal Government cooperated with Shanghai Normal University to establish the Asset Management College. On March 3, 2003, in order to adapt to the development of the discipline, the school decided to split the original Law and Politics Business School and set up the Business School, Law and Politics College and European Culture Business School respectively (the predecessor of the former School of Finance of Shanghai Normal University). At the same time, the name of the original asset management college was retained on the basis of the business school. On September 29th, 20 12, this business school merged with the former School of Finance of Shanghai Normal University, and finally became the new business school we see today. At present, the Business School has six departments: Economics Department, Finance Department, Investment and Insurance Department, Financial Management Department, Information and Service Management Department and Applied Foreign Languages Department. Among them, the master's degree in the first-level discipline is awarded at: applied economics; The second-level master's degree awarding points are: national economics, industrial economics, finance and quantitative economics; At the same time, there are also master's degree awarding points in political economy and master's degree awarding points in applied statistics (in cooperation with the School of Mathematics and Science). The college has full-time undergraduate majors 16, specialist majors 1 and undergraduate majors 1, involving three secondary professional categories: economy, finance and management. The number of students is nearly 3,700, including more than 200 full-time master students, more than 3,300 full-time undergraduates, more than 20 full-time junior college students/kloc-0, and more than 70 overseas students.
