Bengbu Medical College was established in July, 1958. Moved from Shanghai Second Medical College and aided by Anhui Medical College. It was renamed as Bengbu Medical College in June, 1968, and merged with Anhui Medical College in September, 1970. It was renamed as Bengbu Branch of Anhui Medical College and resumed as Bengbu Medical College in June. 1974.
