Dalian University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and also a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".

Dalian University of Technology was founded in April 1949, when it was the Engineering College of Dalian University. 1in July, 950, the establishment of Dalian University was abolished, and the Institute of Technology of Dalian University was independent from Dalian Institute of Technology; 1960 10 was identified as a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education; Graduate school was established in April1986; 1988 changed its name to Dalian University of Technology in March.
