China Information University was founded by National Information Center 1993, covering arts, science, engineering, economics, management, art and other majors. It has been designated by the National Information Training Certification Management Office as the certification training cooperation institution, by the Electronic Education Examination Center of the Ministry of Information Industry as the cooperation unit of the national information technology talent training project, by the China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security as the "innovation ability training experimental base" and by the Education Management Information Center of the Ministry of Education as the "educational informatization governing unit".

The school is located in Fangshan District, Beijing, with a planned campus area of 1 1,000 mu. The first phase of the project has built a building area of 65,438+0,009,82.24 square meters. The second phase of the project started in early October of 20 15+0 165438. The school has four departments, namely, College of Basic Education, College of Information Engineering, College of E-commerce and College of Cultural Creativity, with 10 majors covering more than 40 professional directions. After the students have completed the basic credits and successfully passed the graduation defense, the school will issue the certificate of completion of China Information University.
