In 2005, Cambridge University awarded Jin Yong the honorary title of Doctor of Literature, and Jin Yong immediately went to Cambridge University to study for master's degree and doctor's degree in history, at the age of 8 1.

20 10 September, 86-year-old Mr. Jin Yong successfully completed the defense of his doctoral thesis, and his doctoral thesis entitled "The system of succession to the throne in the prosperous Tang Dynasty" was awarded the doctorate of philosophy from Cambridge University.
