La Trobe University, also known as La Zhuo Bo University, was established in 1967 and is a comprehensive university in Australia. The school is located in Victoria. The campus is located in Bendola, a suburb of Melbourne, and the other two main campuses are located in Bendigo, Victoria and Albury-Wodonga, the border between New South Wales and Victoria. There are several small campuses in Mildura, Sheppardon, Beechworth, Mount Buller and Melbourne.

La Trobe University is recognized as one of the most active universities in teaching and scientific research in Australia, and it is also one of the universities with the largest government investment in scientific research. This university was once one of the top ten universities in Australia, and it was also the top 100 university in the world published by THES (less than 50 years ago). The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees in five major disciplines and some doctoral degrees. Art, health science and anthropology are all strong disciplines in universities, and these single subjects can rank among the top 25 in the world and the top three in Australia. La Trobe University was named after Charles Joseph La Trobe, the first British-appointed governor of Victoria, Australia.
