Development history of Cardiff University
Cardiff University began enrolling students for the first time on 1883124 October, and obtained royal permission on 1884, and appointed LordAberdare as the first president.
The school was originally named University College of South Wales and Monmouth.
1893, the university, together with the University College of North Wales (the predecessor of Bangor University) and the University College of Wales in Arberry (the predecessor of the University of Wales in Arberry), proposed to establish the University of Wales, and obtained permission to start awarding degrees as part of the University of Wales.
The following year (1894), the medical college was established, but in193/kloc-0, the medical college of the University of Wales was established.
