City University of Hong Kong is a public research university located in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. The campus is located in Kowloon Tong Business District of Kowloon Tong Station of MTR, with its back against Lion Rock and overlooking Kowloon Peninsula and Victoria Harbour, with convenient transportation. 1980s, in order to adapt to the development of the times and comprehensively strengthen Hong Kong's higher education, it was established in the permanent school building in Kowloon Tong on 1984, and was renamed City University of Hong Kong on 1995. Leung Chun-ying, the current Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, has served as the chairman of the Council of CityU for three years.
City University is a comprehensive university with seven colleges: Polytechnic, Humanities and Social Sciences, Energy and Environment, Business School, Law School, Animal Medical College and Creative Media College. The graduate school will offer advanced degree courses on Monday. City University uses English as the teaching language, and some departments also provide Chinese as an auxiliary teaching language. In the QS ranking of Asian universities in 20 15, Chengda ranked 9th in Asia and 4th in HKU.
