Boya Primary School in Tianhe District, Guangzhou was formerly Xinhui School in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and was founded on 200 1. In May 2007, the primary school affiliated to Peking University (referred to as the Primary School affiliated to Peking University for short) decided to set up the "Teaching Base of Characteristic Courses and Primary School English Experimental School" (referred to as the English Experimental School for short) in this school, and carried out the experiment of the sub-topic of the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" key educational research project "Research on the development of educational technology in the process of informationization" in Guangzhou. Boya Primary School is named after Boya Pagoda. This 13-storey ancient pagoda is located on the Weiming Lake in Peking University. This tower was donated by Dr. Bo from the United States in 1926 for the then yenching university (former University Hall). The abundant water and clear water under the tower have brought great benefits to the teachers and students in yenching university (renamed Peking University after the founding of the People's Republic of China). In memory of Dr. Bo, Peking University later named the tower Boya Tower, which gradually became a scenic spot for teachers and students in Peking University and one of the landmark buildings in Peking University, with the same name as the unnamed lake. The word "Boya" has become a common word written by teachers and students of Peking University, and many high-rise buildings near Peking University are also named after "Boya".

After the school became an English experimental school in the primary school affiliated to Peking University, it began to transform into an aristocratic school according to the requirements of the primary school affiliated to Peking University.
