"2 1 1 project" refers to the construction of about 100 first-class universities for the 2 1 century. The "985 Project" was put forward by General Secretary Jiang on May 4, 1998 to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Peking University 100, with emphasis on supporting Peking University and Tsinghua. Undergraduate courses are usually divided into three batches, 2 1 1 and 985 engineering colleges belong to one batch, the second batch has ordinary undergraduate colleges, and the third batch is independent colleges and private colleges. 2 1 1 is better than ordinary undergraduate courses, and 985 is better than 2 1 1, and 985 colleges and universities are all among 21/colleges and universities. Universities with 2 1 1 and 985 are usually called national key construction universities.
