The college has a national first-class teaching experiment center with a laboratory area of more than 4,000 square meters, which is divided into environmental biology laboratory, environmental chemistry laboratory, environmental engineering laboratory, land information engineering laboratory, geography laboratory, geographic information laboratory, digital map drawing laboratory, graphic image output room, network center computer room, network workstation and large instrument room.

It has the key laboratories of "Digital Surveying and Mapping and Land Information Application Engineering" of the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, the key laboratory of the Ministry of Education of Geographic Information System and the key laboratory of "Biomass Resource Chemistry and Environmental Biotechnology" of Hubei Province.
