What does the Legal Aid Center of Renmin University of China do
The Legal Aid Center of Renmin University of China was established in 1998. It is a non-profit student organization that provides professional legal aid for socially disadvantaged groups with the care and support of leaders and teachers of schools and colleges at all levels. It is also a legal aid workstation approved by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice and a complaint and legal support workstation approved by Haidian Consumers Association.

The National People's Congress Legal Aid Center consists of business department, project department, theory department, office, propaganda department and public relations department. Among them, the office, propaganda department and public relations department belong to functional departments, aiming at providing all-round support for volunteers, while the business department, project department and theory department constitute the core of the legal aid center of the National People's Congress, and jointly carry out various legal aid activities including legal consultation, litigation agency and popularization of law.

According to incomplete statistics, during the academic year from 20 13 to 20 14, the Legal Aid Center of the National People's Congress received a total of 2,784 consultations. Answered 763 questions online and represented 38 lawsuits. 20 13 recovered economic losses of 300,000 yuan for the parties in the first half of the year. In addition, the team also launched a 10 publicity campaign.
