Anhui Normal University is the first batch of enrollment in Anhui, so it is usually said that Anhui Normal University is a university.

As of April 2023, the school has three campuses: Zheshan Campus, Huajin Campus and Tianmenshan Campus. Hefei Campus is under construction, with a total area of 2,024,300 square meters and a building area of1073,700 square meters. The school has 18 colleges, 6 postdoctoral mobile stations,1/first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 3 1 first-class disciplines authorized by master degrees, 2 1 master degree authorization points and 9 1 undergraduate majors.
