Jishou University, founded in September 1958, is a provincial comprehensive university with local and ethnic characteristics, located in the great western Hunan area of the border region of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Guizhou and Guangxi. The school is located in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture and Zhangjiajie City, and its headquarters is located in Jishou City, the capital of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture.
