In 2002, the school successfully celebrated its 50th anniversary. By the end of 2006, the school has trained more than 30,000 qualified architectural talents for the society and delivered17,000 qualified freshmen for colleges and universities. Fifty years' efforts have produced countless talents. Among the graduates are Wang Jiuzuo, vice chairman of the Shandong Provincial Political Consultative Conference and director of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Li Ge, former director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Labor and Social Security; Wang Chunqiu, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong University of Science and Technology; Yin Changjian, professor and doctoral supervisor of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; and Zhang Zhaoguo, researcher and doctoral supervisor of China Academy of Sciences. General Sun, Fang Zhongxian, Su Yuzhu, Zhang Xilong and others have made great contributions to the construction of the people's army, including Zhu Shuchun, the champion of the International Marathon Invitational Tournament who won glory for our country on the sports front, and Wang Lili, the host of China Radio International, who enjoys a high reputation in the literary and art circles.
