According to the National Regulations on Household Registration Management, the validity period of a household registration is 30 days. Therefore, citizens who hold "hukou" must be in registered permanent residence within the validity period.

For college graduates who fail to registered permanent residence, the following procedures should be followed:

1. The residence permit and dispatch card issued by the university are sent to the office of the Personnel and Labor Protection Bureau;

2. I wrote an application and explained the reasons for overstaying;

3. Approve the certificate of the director of the police station holding the application form and the original immigrants moving into the school;

4. After examination and approval by the director, submit it to the computer office;

5. Go to the Municipal Public Security Bureau for approval;

6. Go to the local police station.

The whole process takes about a day, and there is no handling fee. During the Spring Festival (except national statutory holidays), the business will be handled normally.
