Wuhan University of Technology

Wuhan University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China, the first batch of national world-class discipline construction universities, and the first batch of national "2 1 1 engineering" construction universities, which were built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and were selected as the "16544" innovation platform of the 985 Engineering Advantage Discipline.

The school of Wuhan University of Technology originated from 1898 when Zhang Zhidong, Governor of Huguang, invited the Qing government to establish Hubei Technical School. On May 27th, 2000, it was formed by the merger of Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan Jiaotong University and Wuhan Automobile Institute.

Wuhan University of Technology originated from 1948 China People's Liberation Army Northeast Military Region Ministry of Industry Professional School. After inheritance and development, 1985 was renamed Wuhan University of Technology, and 1998 was transferred from the former State Bureau of Building Materials Industry to the Director of the Ministry of Education.

Wuhan Jiaotong University originated from 1946 National Maritime Vocational School. After inheritance and development, it was renamed Wuhan Jiaotong University on 1993, which was under the former Ministry of Communications.
