Third, due to the developed economy, western countries have more financial resources or advanced instruments and equipment to carry out research, and also have the financial resources to ensure that some research with slow results and low output is easy to produce results. China is much worse in these aspects. Equipment and instruments are often lacking. Even those who enter the research team will leave because of salary problems, or be cancelled by short-sighted superiors because they can't see the results for a while.

Fourth, the defects of the education system, exam-oriented education will often kill some people's talents in some aspects. The current education system focuses on training a large number of qualified technicians or engineers, but it is not conducive to training inventors. Generally speaking, it is standardized production, and the products are similar but not original.

Fifth, because of historical reasons, we have had a gap in education, and naturally there will be a big gap.
