High school attached to northeast normal university was founded in 1950, and its predecessor can be traced back to Changchun No.3 Middle School and Songbei Five Provinces Middle School in the 1940s. Formerly known as high school attached to northeast normal university, it was later renamed as Middle School Affiliated to Jilin Normal University and No.66 Middle School in Changchun. On July 1980, the school was officially renamed as the senior high school affiliated to Northeast Normal University.
