Why does India make English one of the official languages?
India was once a British colony, so English is the official language of India. In fact, the British colonial years in India not only brought heavy suffering to the Indian people, but also brought great changes to Indian society. As a British colony, India has not only been developed, but also many British customs have spread to India.

India, an unlucky country, was managed by the British "East India Company" in18th century, and then officially became a British colony in 1858. Then it became independent by the east wind of World War II, and finally it succeeded in 1947. But the British didn't retreat so quickly. They split India into two countries by burying nails-Mountbatten Plan divided India and separated Pakistan. China wanted to find managers in India after the colonization, and then the high caste class became their first choice.

From 1857, British colonists established universities based on the British education system in India to further strengthen English education, and then English became the first language of education in India. In other words, their mother tongue has been abandoned at school. Therefore, in a sense, English is one of the means of colonial slavery education, because the British hope to create a class that "thinks like the British" through English education.

The British colony in India has always been a colonial country in the world, and the British enslavement education in India made Indians speak English. I know that many people in India also speak English now, and English is one of the official languages in India. Education in India is very similar to that in Britain.
