Suzhou University College of Applied Technology, founded in 1997, is a secondary college of Suzhou University. June 5438+October 2002 10, the original public secondary college was changed into a public private secondary college. In June 2003, 165438+ 10, the college was officially renamed as the College of Applied Technology of Suzhou University. In May 2005, according to the spirit of Document No.8 of the Ministry of Education in 2003, Suzhou University applied for the bid, and the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of a second-level undergraduate college-independent college.

The College has also established more than 50 practice bases in Suzhou Industrial Park and Suzhou High-tech Development Zone. In 2000, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education was designated as the training base for vocational education teachers in Jiangsu Province. In 2004, it was approved by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Labor and Social Security as a national vocational skill appraisal institute.
