20 19 The School of Economics and Management of Northwest University has 9 departments, namely: Accounting Department, Finance Department, Economics Department, Tourism Management Department, Business Administration Department, World Economy and Trade Department, Finance and Taxation Department, Information Management and Information System Department, Mathematical Economics and Statistics Department.

I. Introduction of the Accounting Department

The accounting major of the School of Economics and Management resumed and rebuilt 1986, and the accounting major students formally entered the school 1987. About 60 undergraduates are enrolled every year, and there are currently more than 200 undergraduates. Accounting major began to recruit graduate students in 2000, and now there are more than 60 graduate students in our school. There are four professional teachers 14 in the accounting department, including four professors, seven associate professors, two lecturers and one teaching assistant 1 person.

II. Introduction to Finance

The Department of Finance (1) is a department that grows and develops together with the School of Economics and Management of Northwest University, and it is also the department with the most development potential. As early as 1993, the college set up the international finance teaching and research section in the economics department to recruit international finance undergraduates. 1998 changed to finance major; In 2000, the Finance and Trade Department was established; In 2003, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade were separated.

(2) From 2000 to 2003, Professor Chen Ximin was the head of the department and Professor Xu was the deputy director; From 2004 to June 2007, Professor Xu was the head of the department and Professor Wang Mancang was the deputy director. Professor Wang Mancang, the current head of the department.

While trying to run the financial major well, I took the insurance major in 2002 and enrolled students formally in 2003. Three. Introduction to economics

The Department of Economics (1) has a long history. The business department was established in the early days of the school, and 1937 was changed to the economics department. Famous scholars such as Shen Zhiyuan, Luo and Ji Taoda have taught here successively. Since 1977, the major of political economy and the department of economics have been restored successively.

(2) Over the years, a group of young and middle-aged economists, entrepreneurs and senior outstanding party and government leading cadres with certain influence at home and abroad have been trained for the country, and a group of young and middle-aged economists with great influence at home and abroad have emerged, known as the "cradle of young economists".

(3) The Department of Economics is one of the "National Training Bases for Basic Talents in Economics" selected by the Ministry of Education. Economics now has 1 undergraduate majors, which is a famous brand in Shaanxi Province and the first batch of national specialties determined by the Ministry of Education. Economics majors have first-class doctoral and master's degrees in theoretical economics and post-doctoral research stations in theoretical economics.

(4) In 2003, "National Training Base for Basic Talents in Economics" was rated as "Excellent Base" by the Ministry of Education, ranking eighth in China. Three courses, Political Economics, Western Economics and Theory and Practice of China Market Economy, were rated as national top-quality courses in 2006, 2008 and 2009 respectively. In 2008, it was awarded the national experimental area of innovative talent training mode, and the economics major was awarded the national university characteristic major.

Four. Brief introduction of tourism management specialty

(1) Northwest University Tourism Management Major was formally established on 198 1, becoming one of the first three universities in China to offer tourism management major. After 29 years of development, the tourism management department has now formed a complete teaching system at three levels: undergraduate, master and doctor.

(2) The Department of Tourism Management has a strong faculty, reasonable faculty structure and outstanding scientific research ability. The Department of Tourism Management currently has on-the-job teachers 12, including 2 professors (doctoral supervisors), 5 associate professors and 5 lecturers (all with doctoral degrees). In the same year, according to the development of colleges and departments, based on these two majors, it was divided into two departments: business administration and business information.

(3) There are 24 faculty members in the Department of Business Administration, including 8 professors, 7 associate professors and 9 lecturers, including 10 with doctoral degrees. 1 person was rated as a cross-century talent of the Ministry of Education, while others made outstanding achievements, and some of them are growing into young academic leaders. Teachers of the Department of Business Administration have undertaken a number of national, provincial (committee) and social-oriented major scientific research projects, published nearly 15 textbooks and monographs at all levels, and published more than 300 academic papers.

In the development facing the new century, this major is stepping up its reform, broadening its specialties, increasing its investment, actively carrying out academic exchanges with foreign countries, and creating new conditions for creating first-class majors. Brief introduction of finance and taxation department of economics and management college

(1) The Finance and Taxation Department of the School of Economics and Management originated from the finance major of the former Department of Applied Social Sciences. 1994, at that time, the department of applied social sciences established the tax specialty. 1998 changed its name to finance major according to the adjustment requirements of the professional catalogue of the Ministry of Education (State Education Commission). In 2007, the School of Economics and Management and the Department of Applied Social Sciences successfully applied for a master's degree on a professional basis. 20 10 according to the requirements of school discipline adjustment, the major of finance was adjusted to the School of Economics and Management, and the Department of Finance and Taxation was formally established.

Brief introduction of world economy and trade department

(1) Department of World Economy and Trade, School of Economics and Management, Northwest University was established on 20011. Its predecessor was the Department of International Economics and Trade of Economics and the Department of International Economics and Trade of Finance and Trade, and it began to recruit undergraduates from 1999.

(2) The Department of World Economy and Trade offers doctoral programs in world economy, master programs in world economy, master programs in international trade and undergraduate programs in international trade, and strives to cultivate high-quality and compound professionals in world economy and international trade. In 2002, we established cooperative relations with the Department of Economics of Illinois State University and the Department of World Economics and Trade of Kyoto University of Technology in Japan, regularly hired foreign scholars to teach, sent outstanding teachers to study abroad, and sent outstanding undergraduate graduates to study for master's degrees in foreign schools.

(3) The Department of World Economics and Trade is the youngest department in the School of Economics and Management. Introduction to the Department of Information Management and Information Systems

(1) 1988 The School of Economics and Management of Northwest University set up the major of economic information management in the Department of Economics and Management. (2) Information management and information system specialty is set up in the department, which mainly cultivates modern enterprise management theory, computer application technology and information management and information system professional knowledge; Master information system analysis and design methods; Cultivate high-quality professionals engaged in the organization and management of information resources, the planning, analysis and design of information systems, and teaching and research in this field.

(3) The Department of Information Management and Information Systems has graduated more than 400 undergraduates and 80 students. Introduction to the Department of Mathematical Economics and Statistics
