2. Introduction of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts
Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, formerly known as Central South Academy of Fine Arts, was established in Wuhan, Hubei Province on 1953 according to the layout of national construction. It was formed by the merger of relevant departments and personnel of Central South College of Literature and Art, South China People's College of Literature and Art, Guangxi Academy of Fine Arts and other institutions. The first chairman was Hu Yichuan, a famous revolutionary artist who participated in the Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art, and the first vice chairman was Yang, a famous oil painter and Yang Taiyang, a famous painter in China.
