Sichuan University
The school was formed by the merger of Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Science and Technology and West China University of Medical Sciences. The former Sichuan University was founded in 1896 by Lu, Governor of Sichuan Province. It is the earliest modern institution of higher learning in southwest China. The former Chengdu University of Science and Technology was the first batch of multidisciplinary engineering colleges established during the adjustment of departments in New China.
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC)
The school, formerly known as Chengdu Institute of Telecommunications Engineering, was formed by the merger of Jiaotong University, Nanjing Institute of Technology and South China University of Technology. 1956. 1960 is listed as a national key institution of higher learning; 196 1 year was identified as one of the seven national defense industrial colleges; 1988 changed its name to University of Electronic Science and Technology of China; In 2000, the former Minister of Information Industry was transferred to the Minister of Education; 20 17 entered the ranks of national "double first-class" universities. 20 19 The Ministry of Education signed a contract with Sichuan Province to promote the construction of world-class universities.
Southwest Jiaotong University
The school started from the North Railway Institute, which entered the customs at 1896. Since then, it has been relocated and renamed several times, and Tangshan Jiaotong University is well-known at home and abroad, and is known as "Cornell of the East". 1952 national colleges and universities were reorganized and renamed Tangshan railway institute. 1960 was approved by the central government to become a national key university. 1964 The school moved to Emei, and 1972 was named Southwest Jiaotong University. 1989 The main body of the school moved to Chengdu. In 2000, the school was placed under the management of the Ministry of Education.
