The Institute of Foreign Languages has a strong faculty and rich teaching resources. Scholars of the older generation, such as Feng, Fu Langyi, Lu Songling, Zhou Hanlin, Wang Jizhou and Yang Entang, enjoy a high reputation in China. There are 82 faculty members and 74 full-time teachers, including professors 1 1 person, 22 associate professors and 27 tutors for master students. There are 22 doctors and 49 masters.

The College employs eight foreign teachers all the year round. Besides Mr. von Martin, a diplomat of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are also well-known scholars in the translation field at home and abroad: Professor Christiane Nord, a representative of German functional translation theory, Professor Zhao Deming, a doctoral tutor of Nankai University, Professor Hongyin Wang, a doctoral tutor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Professor Huang Zhonglian, a doctoral tutor of Heilongjiang University, Lu Min, deputy director of the National Translation Qualification Accreditation Center, and more than 10 visiting professors and part-time tutors.
