In which city is Stanford University, a public university or a private university?
Leland Stanford Junior University, commonly referred to as Stanford University, is a private research university located in Stanford, California, USA. This university was founded by railroad tycoon Leland Stanford and his wife, Jane Laslop Stanford, when he was a senator and governor of California. This is in memory of their son (Leland Stanford Jr.), who died of typhoid fever on the eve of 16.

The campus of the school is located in the northwest of Silicon Valley, near Palo Alto. [1] The academic department of the university is divided into seven academic colleges, while other assets, including the biological reserve and the acceleration laboratory, are located outside the main campus. [2] This school is also one of the richest educational institutions, and it is the first university to receive an increase of more than one billion dollars in donations within one year. [3]

Stanford has trained many celebrities. Its alumni include 30 wealthy entrepreneurs and 17 astronauts, and it is also one of the institutions that train the largest number of US congressmen. Stanford alumni have founded many famous companies and institutions, and 58 Nobel Prize winners have studied or worked in this school.
