According to the announcement issued by Wuhan University in 2023, campus management will be implemented during the cherry blossom opening period from March 12 to March 27, during which all school gates and local areas will be strictly controlled. In order to realize the peak trip of cherry blossom viewing staff, faculty and students, cherry blossom viewing staff can enter the school at 08:30- 17:30 on weekdays and 08:00- 18:00 on weekends.

There are many kinds of cherry blossoms in Wuhan University, including mountain cherry, Japanese cherry, eight-fold cherry and so on. Among them, Japanese cherry blossoms are the most common species. Their flowers are pink and very beautiful when they are open.
