This major needs to have the ability to acquire knowledge, analyze and solve problems, and be able to engage in scientific research, engineering design, software development, teaching and training, technical management and other work in information technology industries such as computers, multimedia, networks and communications and related fields.

Among the graduates of this major, more than half of the fresh graduates continue their studies through walks, postgraduate entrance examinations, and studying abroad, and the proportion of studying abroad exceeds 15%.
