1, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine is the first batch of national "double-first-class" universities, a key construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, and a university of Chinese medicine jointly established by Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education and state administration of traditional chinese medicine. The foundation of the school is Guangdong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was founded in 1924. Guangzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established on 1956 with the approval of the State Council, and it is one of the first four institutions of higher learning of traditional Chinese medicine in New China. On 1995, it was officially renamed as Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

2. The school has two campuses, University Town and Sanyuanli, with a total area of 1.205 mu. At present, there are 15 secondary colleges, 18 independent scientific research institutions and 3 directly affiliated hospitals, as well as 5 school-government cooperative hospitals, 30 non-directly affiliated hospitals and off-campus practice bases to meet the teaching practice needs of various disciplines and majors in the school.

3. The school insists on moral education to build a world-class higher education system of traditional Chinese medicine with China characteristics. The discipline of traditional Chinese medicine in our school is a national "double-first-class" construction discipline and a national first-class key discipline. There are 6 key disciplines (traditional Chinese medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, disease prevention and emergency management) for the construction of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, and 25 key disciplines in state administration of traditional chinese medicine.

4. Clinical medicine, pharmacology and toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry and agronomy are among the top in ESI global rankings 1%. There are 24 undergraduate majors in the school, including 29 majors for students, 7 master's degree authorization points for first-class disciplines, 3 master's degree authorization points, 3 doctor's degree authorization points for first-class disciplines, 3 doctor's degree authorization points 1, and 3 post-doctoral research stations.

5. There are full-time students 19427, including undergraduate students 12240, graduate students1599, 842 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 354 foreign students. There are 8 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites and provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites 1 1; 10 national excellent courses, first-class undergraduate courses, course ideological and political demonstration courses, and 57 provincial first-class undergraduate courses.

6. The school is the first batch of universities in China to implement the "pilot reform of the education and training plan for excellent doctors (Chinese medicine)" and undertake the "pilot reform of the top-notch innovative talent model of Chinese medicine", and was selected as the second batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. In the past 70 years, it has trained 6.5438+0.3 million Chinese medicine professionals for the country, and trained a number of leading figures in the field of Chinese medicine, such as Wu Yiling and Academician Liu Liang of China Academy of Engineering.
