Xihua university is a comprehensive university in Sichuan Province. The basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China is supported by universities. The Ministry of Education evaluates outstanding universities and is the first batch of demonstration universities in Sichuan Province to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. Xihua university was founded in 1960 as Sichuan Agricultural Machinery College, 1972 as Chengdu Agricultural Machinery College, and 1983 as Sichuan Institute of Technology. In 2003, Sichuan University of Technology and chengdu normal university merged to form xihua university. In 2008, Sichuan Economic Management Cadre College merged.
