It is a member of the Global Alliance of Higher Education Institutions, Universitas2 1, the European Capital University Alliance and the European Research University Alliance. The school has trained six Nobel Prize winners, five Dutch Prime Ministers, seven Spinoza Prize winners and 1 Turing Prize winners. University departments are all over Amsterdam. The college has seven departments: humanities, social and behavioral sciences, business, law, science, medicine and dentistry. All the buildings are elegant. The school is divided into 8 colleges with about 36,000 students, including 2,500 international students. The predecessor of Oslo University, the Royal Frederick University (Norwegian: Detkonglige Frederiks Universitet, Latin: Universitasregia Fredericia), was founded in 18 1 1, named after Frederick VI, then king of Denmark and Norway. Its school-running model is modeled after the University of Berlin, which was established not long ago. 1939, the Royal Frederick University was renamed the University of Oslo.
