The Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences is a comprehensive research base engaged in high energy physics research, advanced accelerator physics and technology research and development, and advanced ray technology and application in China. Its predecessor was Institute of Modern Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which was founded in 1950, and later renamed Institute of Physics and Institute of Atomic Energy. 1973 In February, according to the instructions of Premier Zhou Enlai, the Institute of High Energy was established on the basis of the First Institute of Atomic Energy.
By July of 20 14, there were about 1400 employees, including about 1 100 professional technicians. There is also a branch school in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, and Yuquan Road Park of High Energy Institute covers an area of more than 460 mu. It has seven research institutes under its jurisdiction, with more than 470 graduate students and more than 50 postdoctoral students.
