Yes, according to the industry standard "Physical Examination Requirements for Seafarers" of the Ministry of Communications, the major of navigation technology and marine engineering (the direction of marine engineering management) requires candidates to have no stuttering, no limbs and normal hearing.

Candidates applying for the major of navigation technology are above1.65m in height, with completely normal color vision, naked eye vision of 4.7(0.5) or above, and corrected vision of 4.9(0.8) or above (subject to the confirmation of the provincial admissions department where the candidates are located); Candidates who apply for the major of marine engineering (management direction of marine engineering) are above1.55m in height, without red-green color blindness, with naked eye vision of 4.6(0.4) or above and corrected vision of 4.8(0.6) or above (subject to the confirmation of the admissions department of the province where the candidates are located). Other requirements refer to the physical examination requirements of seafarers. Because of the nature of work, girls are not recommended in this major.
