This major is characterized by the integration of science and engineering, and mainly involves the basic theory, engineering design and system realization technology in the fields of electronic science and technology, information and communication engineering and optical engineering. It is based on mathematics, physics and information theory, and takes electronics, photons, information and related components, electronic systems and information networks as research objects.

Architecture is an undergraduate major in Chinese universities. Architecture mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills of building structure, design, materials, environment and construction, involving architectural design, urban design, interior design, municipal design and other aspects, and carries out the design and planning of various buildings.
