Brief introduction of Southeast University
Southeast University (Dongda for short), named Southeast University (SEU for short), located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning established in China. The school was founded in Sanjiang Normal School on 1902, and has gone through the running periods of Liangjiang Normal School, Nanjing Normal College, National Southeast University, National Central University and Nanjing Institute of Technology.
In May 1988, the school was renamed Southeast University. In April 2000, the former Southeast University, Nanjing Railway Medical College and Nanjing Jiaotong University merged, and Nanjing Geological School merged to form a new Southeast University.
