The difference between the original score and standard score

The original score is 750 and the standard score is 900.

1. Disadvantages of the original music score

At present, the general college entrance examination score reporting system in most parts of China is the original score system: the original score of a candidate in a college entrance examination course is the paper score he got on the examination paper of the course according to the scoring standard, and its essence is the correct answer rate. The notice of college entrance examination results is the original total score of students' original scores in all subjects and the accumulated original scores in all subjects.

From the perspective of educational metrology, the shortcomings of the original sub-system mainly include: the original sub-system did not reveal the position of candidates' scores in the candidates' group scores; Due to the different difficulty of proposition in each subject, the original scores of each subject can not be directly compared, which makes it difficult to explain the scores; It is unreasonable to add the original phase to all subjects. Because of the difficulty of each subject's test paper, the subject scores of easy (difficult) test papers are easy (difficult). It can be seen that the scores of each subject per 1 minute are not equal, and it is unreasonable to add up the original scores of different subjects to get the total score, just as it is unreasonable to directly add up the money in different currencies.

2. The standard subsystem is more scientific

The standard grade system is a set of grade report, grade interpretation and grade use system based on the theory of educational metrology. It reports the standard scores and percentage scores of all subjects to candidates, and reports the standard scores and percentage scores of the total score (renamed comprehensive score). The method of obtaining the standard score and percentage grade of each subject is as follows:

(1) In the category group of the province to which the candidates belong (such as science and engineering, literature and history), the candidates are sorted from high to low according to their original scores;

(2) Calculate the percentage of each candidate who is lower than the original score in the total number of candidates in this group, that is, the percentage score;

(3) According to the percentage grade of each original score, check the normal distribution table to find out its corresponding normal score in the normal distribution table;

(4) Give the standard score according to the normal score: if the normal score is the average of the normal distribution, the standard score for reporting the original score is 500; If the normal score is 1 and the standard deviation is greater than the average of normal distribution, the standard score of the original score is 600; If 1 standard deviation is less than the average, the standard score is 400. Generally speaking, when the normal score is x standard deviations of the average value of normal distribution, its standard score is 500 100X. According to the principle of normal distribution, the standard score is between 100 ~ 900.

(5) The comprehensive score of candidates is an index reflecting the comprehensive level of each candidate. It is obtained by adding the subject standards of candidates in phases, sorting them from high to low according to the total, and determining their percentage scores and standard scores according to the above method.

The standard subsystem has the following characteristics:

The standard score of (1) not only shows the level of the examinee, but also shows the position of the student in the examinee group. Candidates can know whether they are on the minimum admission control score line of each batch and what kind of school they can be admitted to according to the percentage of comprehensive scores.

(2) The standard scores of all subjects indicate the position of candidates in the same group, so the scores of candidates in all subjects can be compared directly according to the standard scores, and the scores of middle schools in the college entrance examination can be evaluated according to the standard scores;

(3) The reference points of the standard scores of all subjects (more than 50% of the candidates get 500 points) are added as a unit (1 standard deviation is 100 points). This overcomes the defects of the original music score.
