Shandong Agricultural University is located at the foot of the majestic Mount Tai. Its predecessor was Shandong Higher Agricultural School, founded in Jinan, 1906. After several changes, Shandong Agricultural College was established in 1952 through the adjustment of national departments. 1958 Jinan to Taian, 1983 was renamed Shandong Agricultural University. 1In July, 1999, the former Shandong Agricultural University and Shandong Institute of Water Conservancy merged, and Shandong Forestry School merged to form a new Shandong Agricultural University.
The school is a university approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, and approved by the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It is the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau, one of the first five famous schools with basic characteristics in Shandong Province, a high-level university in Shandong Province, and the first batch of national civilized campuses.
