Learning experience:

1973- 1976 Department of Biology, Northwest University, majoring in medicinal biology.

1982- 1984 obtained a master's degree in botany and a master's degree in science from the Department of Biology of Northwest University.

1992- 1996 studied at the University of Fribourg and the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland, and obtained a doctorate from the University of Neuchatel.

Teaching situation:

Presided over the National Excellent Course of Botany (2008)

Editor-in-Chief of Botany (Science Press, 2009)

Main research interests: systematic and evolutionary botany.

Main interests 1. Systematic development and molecular evolution of main plant groups; 2. Evaluation of medicinal plant germplasm resources.

Social services:

He is currently a member of the Steering Committee of Biology Teaching of the Ministry of Education, the executive director of botanical society of china, the chairman of Shaanxi Botanical Society, and the editorial board of Frontier Biology and Journal of Botany.

Awards:

1985 won the third prize of national scientific and technological progress.

1993 third prize of scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi province

1996 was awarded the Youth Award Research Fund of China Academy of Sciences.

1989 second prize of the second Henry fok young teacher award (research class)

1990 was awarded the title of "Master's Degree Winner with Outstanding Contributions in China" by the State Education Commission and the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and 1993 was awarded the title of "Winner with Special Government Allowance" by the State Council.

3. Study on the coupling relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem stability in oasis-desert transitional zone in Fukang, Xinjiang, (G1999043503) "973" sub-project.

4. Evolutionary Biology Research of Gynostemma pentaphyllum in East Asia, supported by Doctor Foundation of Ministry of Education (200406970 10).

5. Research on Evolutionary Biology of Gynostemma pentaphyllum in East Asia by National Natural Science Foundation (30670 129).

6. The third phase clinical trial and related research of Qin Long oxymatrine, a new Chinese medicine, which is a major research project of national new drug creation, 2008 zx0910/-z-016, (2008-20 10).
