Henan University of Technology, jointly established by the People's Government of Henan Province and the State Grain Bureau, was selected into the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, the education and training plan for outstanding engineers, and the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents.

At present, there are full-time teachers 1633, 836 teachers with associate senior titles and above, and 729 teachers with doctoral degrees. There are 5 13 masters tutors and 53 doctoral tutors. It has gathered a large number of academic leaders, such as double-hired academicians, Changjiang scholars, winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, national candidates for the "100 Million Talents Project", specially invited experts from the State Council, outstanding talents from the Ministry of Education in the new century, scholars from the Central Plains and famous teachers from Henan Province. There are 26 high-level teaching and research teams at or above the provincial level.
