Background of the former site of Meitan Zhejiang University
On May 25th, 2006, the former site of Meitan Zhejiang University, as an important historical relic in modern China, was approved by the State Council as a national key cultural relic protection unit in the name of "the former site of Meitan Zhejiang University".

With the ambition of serving the country, teachers and students of Zhejiang University have made unremitting efforts to cultivate a generation of "realistic" scholars, making Zhejiang University a prestigious institution at home and abroad and known as "Oriental Cambridge". According to relevant materials, among the members of the academic department and academicians of the two academies after liberation, 45 people, including Zhu Kezhen, Su, Wang, Bei, Tan, Tan Qixiang and He Cheng, worked and studied in exile in Zhejiang University. 1989, the central leading comrades received 2 1 experts with outstanding contributions, among whom Li, Liang and Pan studied in Zhejiang University. 1999, the Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission awarded the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" Meritorious Medal.
