Fujian Normal University is located in Fuzhou, a famous historical and cultural city "Zou Lu on the seashore". It is a century-old provincial institution of higher learning with a long history and outstanding reputation. The school was founded by Mr. Chen, an imperial envoy of the Qing Dynasty, 1907, and was later merged by South China Women's College of Arts and Sciences, Fujian Christian University and Fujian Provincial Teachers College.
Fujian Normal University was founded in 1953, and 1972 was renamed as Fujian Normal University, which is still in use today. 20 12 Fujian Normal University was jointly established by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. 20 14 was recognized as a key high-level university in Fujian Province. 20 18 was recognized as a first-class university in Fujian Province. In 2022, it was identified as the second round of "double first-class" construction of A-class universities in Fujian Province.
