Chapter I General Provisions

Article 1 In order to better mobilize students' learning enthusiasm and initiative, stimulate students' learning interest and potential, and make full use of the multi-disciplinary advantages of the school, this implementation method is formulated according to the Regulations on the Management of Students in Ordinary Colleges and Universities (Order No.41of the Ministry of Education) and the Regulations on the Management of Undergraduate Student Status of Central South University, combined with the actual situation of our school.

Article 2 These Measures are applicable to full-time undergraduates in our university.

Article 3 The principle of "fairness, justice and openness" should be strictly followed in the work of changing majors, and students and majors should be chosen in two directions, and majors should be selected on the best basis.

Article 4 After completing the first academic year, students may apply for major change according to the relevant conditions of the school. Only one volunteer can be filled in when applying for major changes. Once the student's major is determined, it will not be changed in principle.

Chapter II Management Organization and Duties

Article 5 A school should set up a professional transfer working group headed by the school leader in charge of teaching, with the heads of undergraduate colleges, student affairs offices and some secondary colleges as members, to be responsible for studying, guiding and auditing the school's professional transfer work.

Article 6 A college shall set up a college-level professional transfer working group composed of college leaders and teachers' representatives, with no less than 5 members.

Article 7 The College Working Group shall be responsible for formulating the detailed rules for the implementation of the college's work of changing majors, and defining the relevant contents such as selection and assessment.

Chapter III Conditions for Applying for Changing Majors

Article 8 Students who apply to change their major should actively practice the core values of * *, have good conduct, abide by school rules and regulations, and have strong interest in learning and career potential. Meet one of the following conditions, you can apply for a major:

(A) excellent students to major. At the end of the first school year, no students failed in the course examination. In the first school year, the top 25% students (excluding all kinds of policy points) in all teaching links (including elective courses in the whole school) can apply for changing majors.

(2) Students in special subjects change their major. After the end of the first academic year, those who fail the course examination, those who have outstanding expertise in a certain discipline (such as individuals who won the first prize and above in the discipline competition), and those who can better play their expertise by changing majors, can apply for changing majors. When changing majors, students are required to provide relevant certification materials of their major, which will be evaluated by relevant experts organized by undergraduate colleges and determined after approval by the school's working group on changing majors.

(3) Students who find that they can't study in their original major due to certain diseases (certified by the Affiliated Hospital of Central South University), physical defects or other special difficulties, but can still complete their studies in other majors in our school, can apply for changing majors. Such students can only transfer to related majors after passing the examination of changing majors and being approved by the school's working group on changing majors.

When transferring to a major, students are required to get no less than the minimum admission score (excluding special enrollment) in the province where they transfer to a major (or major category). If there is no reference data of the province where it is located in that year, it can be comprehensively evaluated in combination with the overall admission situation of the school.

Article 9 There are corresponding provisions for changing majors in the following situations:

(1) Students majoring in liberal arts cannot apply for changing to science, engineering or medicine;

(2) Students majoring in fine arts and music cannot apply for transferring to non-fine arts majors;

(3) Students recommended by foreign language middle schools cannot apply for transferring to non-foreign language majors;

(4) Four-year and five-year students cannot apply for "5+3" in eight-year clinical medicine and stomatology;

(5) When enrolling students, the state or the school clearly stipulates that students who cannot change their major after entering school cannot apply for changing their major.

Article 10 Students may not change their major in any of the following circumstances:

Less than a school year;

(2) Being suspended from school, retaining one's school status or being suspended from school;

(three) there are violations of law and discipline;

(four) other without justifiable reasons.
