Introduction: Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Chengdu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1956. It is one of the earliest four institutions of higher learning of traditional Chinese medicine in China, which was established with the approval of the State Council under the cordial care of Zhou Enlai and other first-generation leading collectives of the Party and the country. 1995 was renamed Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the State Education Commission. In 2006, the former Sichuan Health Management Cadre College and Sichuan Reproductive Health College were merged into Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After more than 50 years of construction, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has become a key institution of higher learning in Sichuan Province, an institution established by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, and an excellent institution for undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education. The school covers an area of 1800 mu, with 16 colleges and 35 undergraduate majors, with 22,000 full-time students, including more than 2,000 graduate students. The school is the first batch of authorized points for doctors and masters of traditional Chinese medicine, and the first batch of pilot units for clinical medical professional degrees (masters and doctors). There are 6 national specialties, 7 provincial specialties, 5 national excellent courses, 365,438+0 provincial excellent courses, 3 national excellent teaching teams and 5 provincial excellent teaching teams. National talent training mode innovation experimental zone 1 each, and 2 provincial talent training mode innovation experimental zones. Among the existing professional and technical personnel in the school, there are more than 600 senior professional titles and more than 400 doctoral and master's tutors. The school has 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 2 non-directly affiliated hospitals 19 teaching hospitals19 and 38 practice hospitals, among which the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Sichuan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine) is the construction unit of the National Clinical Research Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Diabetes Base) determined by the National Development and Reform Commission and state administration of traditional chinese medicine. Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", there have been 80 new scientific research projects 1598, including major national science and technology projects, national key basic research and development plan (973 Plan), national natural science foundation, social science foundation and other national projects 188, which have won 80 awards at all levels, including 3 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress and/kloc-0 special prize for provincial scientific and technological progress.
