Qinghai Normal University is located in Xining, an ancient plateau city, with a lock in the west sea and a throat hidden in the sea. 1956 was founded as Qinghai Normal University, 1958 was upgraded to Qinghai Normal University, and 1984 was renamed Qinghai Normal University. After 1997, Qinghai Institute of Education, Qinghai Teachers College for Nationalities, Qinghai Water Conservancy School and bank of qinghai School merged one after another to form a new Qinghai Normal University.
