Vocational college entrance examination refers to the vocational college entrance examination (including single-recruit and counterpart examinations), which is a form of entrance examination for vocational school students (technical secondary school, technical school, vocational high school and senior high school) compared with the general college entrance examination (national unified examination for enrollment of ordinary colleges and universities). The Ministry of Education has gradually established the vocational college entrance examination system, making it the main channel for vocational colleges to recruit students. Take the "cultural quality+vocational skills" exam enrollment method.
subject of examination
In the cultural quality examination, there are three courses: Chinese, mathematics and foreign language, while in the vocational skills examination, the course mode of "1+2" is adopted, that is, 1 basic professional course plus two professional core courses, and the three courses should cover the most important professional basic theoretical knowledge and skills in this professional category. The examination takes the form of "paper and pencil examination+practical operation".
The cost of practical examination is high, which is much higher than that of paper-and-pencil examination in terms of labor cost, time cost, venue cost and material cost.
There are three main types of vocational college entrance examination enrollment schools: one is 32 vocational undergraduate colleges, the other is 1468 vocational colleges, and the third is applied undergraduate colleges willing to offer vocational undergraduate majors and recruit middle and higher vocational graduates.
Among these three types of institutions, vocational education undergraduate schools and application-oriented undergraduate schools are more attractive and will become the first choice for candidates and parents. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the Ministry of Education will select and build about 10 high-level vocational undergraduate education demonstration schools. Because of its low academic level, higher vocational colleges have always been regarded as a guaranteed school and the last choice by candidates in a sense.
The difference between vocational colleges and ordinary universities
First, the names are different. You can tell it from the name of the school. The state explicitly requires the name of a vocational education university to be "a vocational and technical university", and the name has been fixed when it was approved for establishment. It is also required that these schools "have the same direction of running schools, the same training mode and the same development of characteristics", which have obvious identity and social characteristics.
Second, the major is different. In 20021year, the Ministry of Education studied and formulated the Administrative Measures for Compiling Professional Catalogs of Vocational Education Undergraduate, and at the same time issued 247 professional catalogs of vocational education undergraduate, establishing a self-contained professional catalog system.
Third, the evaluation is different. Different from the evaluation and requirements of ordinary undergraduate schools. In 20021year, the Ministry of Education studied and formulated the teaching qualification evaluation index of vocational undergraduate schools, put forward the basic requirements for running schools, and prepared to evaluate the undergraduate teaching level of vocational and technical universities.
