The main feature of the Institute of Traditional Chinese Opera and Cultural Relics of Shanxi Normal University is that it always insists on field investigation and is good at combining cultural relics, folk customs and literature, forming a four-in-one discipline mechanism of scientific research, teaching, cultural relics exhibition hall and large academic journals, and has made remarkable achievements.

The Opera Museum has a building area of 400 square meters and an exhibition area of 65,438 0,200 square meters. China Opera, an academic magazine jointly organized with China Opera Society, has been published for 45 issues, mainly publishing high-level articles on opera cultural relics, opera folk customs, religious ritual dramas, ethnic dramas and opera theories. It is famous for its informative materials and rigorous style of study.
