Although the road to Zhuhu Lake is a little far, the road planning of the scenic spot is very good, with neat and clean slate paths, clear road signs and illustrated vegetation introduction. But even without these, there is nothing more intoxicating than walking in such a mountain with green trees and flowers, sunshine, blue sky, white clouds, the fragrance of green grass and the crisp chirp of birds in spring and feeling the enjoyment brought by nature.
Bamboo Lake is famous for its abundant sea jade. I have always known little about flowers, because I think that no matter how rare and common, flowers with green leaves, blue sky and sunshine are the most beautiful primary colors in nature, whether they are peony with national colors or bougainvillea with evergreen seasons. So I rarely remember the name of the flower. But it's hard for me to forget the vastness of the sea and jade fields here. Petals gradually change from pink and light yellow to pure white and green stems, which are beautiful, elegant and exquisite. Leave the roadside flower shop, put on the farmer's rain boots, and you can walk into Haiyutian to choose flowers yourself. Even if you don't buy anything, standing on the ridge and looking at the green mountains and flowers is enough to make people linger.
Leave Zhuhu Lake and follow the road signs at the fork, and you will arrive at Yangming Bookstore. Because I was too busy to collect information before coming to Taiwan Province Province, I only had some travel brochures from the airport, so my daily itinerary was random. I didn't have any concept about Yangming Bookstore before, but I feel that it must be a good place to be called a bookstore in this nourishing mountain forest.
Only when I found Yangming Bookstore did I know that there were many of them, which was one of Chiang Kai-shek's 15 pavilions in Taiwan Province Province.
Yangming Bookstore was built in 1969- 1970, which was the last pavilion built by Chiang Kai-shek before his death. Formerly known as Zhongxing Hotel, it was used for summer vacation and reception of foreign guests. 1998 officially opened to the public in June and changed its name to its present name. It includes the main building and the surrounding garden forest. Area 15 hectare, with Qixing Mountain in the back, Taipei Basin in the front, Shamao Mountain and Datun Mountain in the left and right, Guanyin Mountain, Danshui River and Keelung Port in the outside. Yangming Bookstore, backed by mountains and rivers, has a wide field of vision, hidden among mountains and green trees, and its geographical location is very good.
There is a time limit for visiting the bookstore, and there is a special person responsible for explaining and guiding. People like me come here and have to be arranged in a local tour group in Taiwan Province Province, but this is an elderly group. The tour guide talks endlessly in Minnan for most old people in the group who don't know Mandarin, and occasionally speaks some local Mandarin. I had to follow behind, patiently using my limited understanding and, of course, my extraordinary understanding. What I understand most every time is that after each exhibition hall is introduced, the tour guide says, "Let's go to the next room."
Before Yangming Bookstore was opened to the outside world, the mountain roads in this area were strictly martial law and heavily guarded, so there were many sentry boxes along the way. The tour guide said that these were just public whistles, the only ones that were not noticed by outsiders. An entrance to the secret whistle is located in a rhododendron, and its eyes are almost on the ground, which is difficult for outsiders to find.
The entrance is a wide triangle, which is said to be the apron of a helicopter. It was used for medical purposes during wartime retreat and going out, but it was never used once, because Chiang Kai-shek spent all his life in Shilin official residence in Taipei.
