Brief introduction of Henan Polytechnic University
Henan Polytechnic University, located in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, is the first mining institution of higher learning in China and the earliest institution of higher learning established in Henan Province. It is a key university jointly established by Henan Province and the Emergency Management Department.
It was selected into the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Midwest Universities", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan 2.0" and "New Engineering Research and Practice Project", and was rated as an excellent school by the Ministry of Education.
The predecessor of the school is Jiaozuo Road and Mine School, which was founded by British Fu Company on 1909. It has experienced historical periods such as Henan Fuzhong Mining School, Fuzhong Mining Institute, Fuzhong Mining University, private Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, National Jiaozuo Institute of Technology and Jiaozuo Institute of Mining.
1995 Restored the name of Jiaozuo Institute of Technology and renamed it Henan Polytechnic University in 2004. After 2002, he was awarded the right of doctoral degree and was selected as a key construction university in the province.
