Hohai University, abbreviated as "HHU", is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is characterized by water conservancy, with engineering as its advantage, and the coordinated development of economics, management, literature, science, law, art, teaching and agriculture. The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Water Resources, the State Oceanic Administration and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province have established universities.
It is a national "double-class" university, a national "2 1 1 project" key construction, a "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform" and a graduate school.
